March has been another busy month at Twilo, as we continue to push towards our 2025 targets. I’ve been working closely with our business consultant, Tim, to make sure we’re putting the right structures in place to keep us on track.
Like many businesses, we’re navigating the ongoing challenges of rising costs. With national insurance contributions increasing and energy prices still high, it’s no secret that these pressures hit small businesses hardest. That said, we remain focused on delivering great work while managing these challenges smartly.
Speaking of great work, we’ve wrapped up some fantastic projects this month, marking a strong end to the first quarter of the year. At the same time, we’ve got several new projects kicking off, keeping the team busy and engaged as we head into Q2.
One of the biggest highlights this month has organising Twilo’s 10th birthday celebraitons and sending out the invitations. We’re looking forward to welcoming clients and suppliers in April for what promises to be a great evening. The event is shaping up nicely, and we’re excited to mark this milestone with the people who have been part of our journey.
Outside of work, I took a trip to Richmond in North Yorkshire earlier in March. It’s a great spot for a weekend escape. Plenty of scenic walks, solid pubs, and good food. Stepping away from the desk and getting some fresh air is exactly what was needed.
As we head into April, there’s plenty to look forward to. A big celebration, new projects, and, hopefully, the start of some warmer weather. Onwards.

March has been one of those months that seems to have gone by too quickly and you can’t really remember what you did. Despite this, we’ve had a very productive month where we have gotten several projects live and out the door. This has been a fantastic achievement and has given us lots of experience to take forward. As old projects get completed, we now have new projects walk in. An exciting one is for loan applications with a customer facing website built on WordPress and a portal built with the Laravel, Inertia and React stack. As we have now already built apps with Laravel and React, we are ready for this one to be the best we have built to date!
In other news, we have had Shwe join us during the last week and already she has made a great addition to the team. I look forward to working with her in the future. We have a great team forming and I am excited for where Twilo leads next.
At home, there has not really been too much exciting going on. I’ve had a visit from my Aunty who had not yet seen the house since we moved in. She came along with my Mum and with me and my partner, we socialised for the Saturday night. We did the usual touring of the house and discussing plans that will be long away in the future. The rest of the night was spent getting a Chinese takeaway and nattering about all sorts of things that we’ve each been up to.
Within the gaming scene, I’ve finally started playing a game called For the King II. This is a turn based RPG adventure where you are trying to save the kingdom from a corrupt monarchy. It’s been a very chill game to relax to on an evening despite the dice rolling being a little frustrating at times. I also have made plans with my partner to catchup on old boxsets that I never watched such as Band of Brothers. I now have that to enjoy for next month.

This month has been another exciting month at Twilo. I’ve assisted in getting a few clients new websites live, and with that, the launching of new ad campaigns! I can’t wait to get stuck into these campaigns and provide more excellent results for clients with their paid ads.
Some other important news is that I’ve passed my probation at Twilo! This was a great experience and the hitting of a personal goal for me. I also got a branded Twilo hoodie to celebrate.
Birthday celebration
March is always a busy month outside of work! This month I spent a weekend in Haderslev, Denmark, with my friends to celebrate two of their birthdays. It was one of the best weekends away we’ve had for a while. It was so fun to chill out and catch up with my friends. Also, Haderslev is a beautiful city, and luckily we got some nice weather.
It was also my birthday this month! I turned the old age of 27. I had a lovely birthday. I took my dog for a nice long walk in the sun around Otley Chevin, saw my family and had the most stunning Mexican flatbread when we went out for food. Hopefully I enjoy being 27 as much as I did being 26.

A Month of Reflection, Celebration, and Growth
March has been a month full of blessings, celebrations, and exciting new beginnings. As the holy month of Ramadan came to a close, we embraced meaningful moments with friends and family, celebrated personal milestones, and looked ahead to future successes. Here’s a look at everything that made this month special.
Ramadan: A Month of Spirituality and Togetherness
Ramadan is always a special time for reflection, gratitude, and connection. This year was no different, as we gathered for grand weekend Iftars with friends and family. These evenings were filled with delicious food, laughter, and shared experiences, making the fasting month even more rewarding.
A Personal Milestone: Wedding Anniversary Celebrations
This month also marked my wedding anniversary, adding another joyous occasion to the calendar. Celebrating such an important milestone during Ramadan made it even more meaningful. From reminiscing about cherished memories to planning future adventures, it was a time of gratitude and appreciation.
Excitement for Eid: Preparations in Full Swing
With Eid just around the corner, preparations are at their peak! From shopping for new outfits to planning festive meals, the excitement is building up. Eid is a time of joy, generosity, and unity, and I can’t wait to celebrate with loved ones once again.
A Game-Changing Read: Don’t Make Me Rethink
Learning never stops, and this month, I had the opportunity to dive into an insightful book – Don’t Make Me Rethink, gifted by Wayne. It’s been an eye-opening read, helping me understand usability, design thinking, and the importance of user experience in digital spaces. Highly recommended for anyone looking to sharpen their skills!
Looking Ahead
As we step into the next month, I am filled with enthusiasm for what’s ahead—both personally and professionally. With Eid celebrations around the corner and Twilo’s ambitious goals in motion, there’s so much to look forward to.
Wishing everyone a joyous Eid and an exciting new month ahead!

March’s been a pretty solid month all round. I passed my probation, which was a big milestone for me. It’s definitely given me a boost in confidence and has made me feel like I’m properly settled in now. It’s also pushed me to keep raising the bar, learning more, improving where I can, and just staying switched on. There are some exciting projects coming up too, and I’m genuinely buzzing about them. It all feels like it’s moving in the right direction.
Outside of work, I finally parted ways with my first ever car. I’d had it for seven years, and it saw everything: uni runs, random road trips, breakdowns in the most inconvenient places. It definitely served its time. I’ve now swapped it for something that actually starts when I need it to, which is a bit of a game changer.
On the football front, my season with the local team is nearly wrapped up. We’re battling it out for third place, and if we manage to hold onto it, it’ll put us in a strong spot to go for promotion next season. Everyone’s putting in the graft, and we’re hoping it pays off. It’s been a fun season regardless, and just good to be out there.
I’ve also been getting out on a few more walks lately. The weather’s finally stopped trying to blow me over every time I step outside, so it’s been nice to get some fresh air and a bit of headspace. Makes a big difference.
All in all, March has felt like a turning point. I’m feeling good, got some momentum going, and I’m ready to keep it up as we head into April.

Exploring March Milestones: Creative Projects at Twilo
March has been a dynamic and rewarding month for me at Twilo Creative. I had the opportunity to work across a variety of exciting projects, using technologies like OpenCart, WordPress, and Laravel. Each project brought new challenges, which fuel my passion for continuous learning and innovation.
Tackling Diverse Projects with OpenCart, WordPress & Laravel
From building custom e-commerce features on OpenCart, to optimising user experience on WordPress, and developing powerful backend systems in Laravel, the past few weeks have been filled with growth. These technologies, though different, share a common thread — they empower businesses to succeed online.
One of the key takeaways this month was the importance of flexible architecture and clean code practices. Whether it’s creating a smooth checkout experience or a scalable API, I’m proud to contribute solutions that directly support client goals.
Why I Love What I Do
Working with new and evolving technologies isn’t just part of the job — it’s what gets me excited to come to work every day. I find joy in overcoming technical hurdles and turning complex requirements into clean, functional, user-friendly results.
“The bigger the challenge, the greater the satisfaction in solving it.”
Life Outside the Code: A Visit to the Guinea Pig Farm
As much as I enjoy my work, I’m equally excited for tomorrow’s family trip to a guinea pig farm. It promises laughter, discovery, and lots of cute furry friends — a perfect reminder to recharge and enjoy the little things in life.
Looking Ahead
As we head into April, I’m looking forward to more projects, more learning, and more meaningful contributions to the Twilo Creative team.

March Highlights: New Beginnings, City Breaks & Marketing Meetups
As March comes to an end, I’m reflecting on a month filled with fresh starts, inspiring conversations, and time well spent exploring two amazing UK cities. From joining the Twilo Creative team to discovering new places and connecting with fellow marketers, March has been full of energy and inspiration.
✨ A New Chapter with Twilo Creative
On the 24th of March, I officially joined Twilo Creative and it’s been an exciting start! The team has been incredibly welcoming, and I already feel part of a passionate group that’s driven by creativity, innovation, and results.
I’m looking forward to getting stuck into new projects, building bold campaigns, and sharing the Twilo story through everything we do in digital marketing.
🏙️ City Breaks: London & Sheffield
Earlier in the month, I enjoyed a girls’ trip to London and it was exactly what I needed. We explored the city, laughed a lot, and soaked in the energy that only London can deliver. There’s something special about spending time with friends in a city that always feels alive.
I also visited Sheffield with my boyfriend over the weekend, and it was a totally different but equally enjoyable vibe. I loved the mix of vintage shops, cosy cafés, and independent bars. It is a city that really champions local, independent businesses, which I admire. Sheffield felt authentic, creative, and welcoming, a place I’d definitely return to.
💼 Marketing Meetup: Insights on Demand Generation
One of the standout professional moments this month was attending the Marketing Meetup in Leeds. The seminar topic was demand generation, a subject I’ve been eager to dive deeper into. The session was packed with valuable insights and practical takeaways that I’m excited to bring into our strategy at Twilo.
Connecting with other marketers in a relaxed, supportive space reminded me how powerful these communities can be. It’s all about sharing, learning, and growing together.
🌿 Wrapping Up March
This month was all about new beginnings, personal moments, and professional growth. As I settle into my new role, I’m looking forward to what April brings and I can already tell it’s going to be an exciting ride here at Twilo Creative.
Thanks for following along and stay tuned for more updates, insights, and a peek into life behind the scenes at Twilo.
